Land Rover Series & Defender MOT In North London

From Series IIA to Defender, we test Land Rovers the way they should be tested: thoroughly, fairly and with a real understanding of how they’re built.

New customers: MOT just £50

Land Rovers Are Tough But Not Rust-Proof

The aluminium body panels don’t rust, but the steel underneath does. Chassis rails, outriggers and the bulkhead are where most Land Rovers fail, and they’re often hidden behind mud and underseal. We know these vehicles well and we sell restored Series Land Rovers ourselves, so we’ll give you an honest picture of your vehicle’s condition.

What We Check Closely On A Land Rover

  • Chassis & outriggersRear crossmember, spring hangers and outriggers, the usual failure points.
  • BulkheadFootwells and door pillars, where corrosion is common.
  • BrakesDrums, wheel cylinders, pipes and hoses, and the transmission handbrake.
  • SteeringSteering box, relay, swivel housings and ball joints for play and leaks.
  • SuspensionLeaf springs, shackles and bushes, or coils and radius arms on later models.
  • Lights & emissionsLamps and wiring, plus exhaust and emissions on petrol and diesel engines.

Not sure it will pass? Book a pre-MOT check and we’ll list anything that needs fixing first.

Is your vehicle MOT-exempt? Most vehicles built or first registered more than 40 years ago can be declared a Vehicle of Historic Interest and don’t legally need an MOT, unless they’ve been substantially changed. It must still be roadworthy, though, and many owners choose a voluntary MOT each year for peace of mind. We’re happy to test exempt vehicles too.
